Small & Intimate Weddings

The Ferry House is a beautiful venue for small weddings, perfectly blending rustic charm and waterside wetland landscapes with a relaxed elegance. We are able to host intimate weddings in our stunning Hop Barn for 2-30 guests year round Monday-Wednesday (excluding Bank Holidays), as well as on other late available dates. If you would like to say 'I do' outdoors overlooking the water, then our Oak Gazebo can host ceremonies from April-October.

Twilight intimate wedding packages are also available, for a romantic sunset ceremony and celebrations under the stars. With a later wedding ceremony time, you can enjoy a relaxed day of preparations ideally suited to the tranquillity of our location. Beautiful dusky light and romantically lit spaces create a relaxed ambience for your guests to come together and enjoy without the formality of a sit down meal.

Our new bespoke two-day wedding package is the perfect way to extend your celebrations, surrounded by your closest loved ones. Start the festivities the night before at Mocketts Farm Cottages, our charming converted barns just five minutes from The Ferry House. Pick the cottage that suits you best and keep your wedding venue a secret until the big day! Kick off the evening with a relaxed grazing table dinner, unwind in the peaceful countryside with your wedding party, and wake up to a delicious breakfast delivered to your door. Then, it's time to head to The Ferry House for your intimate wedding day.

Dining is a special part of your intimate wedding at The Ferry House, set beneath the hops and twinkling lights of the Hop Barn. Choose from an array of food and drink options served by our award-winning chefs. Much of the produce comes from our large Kitchen Garden, family farm and local estate - you can enjoy making your choices on your special Wedding Tasting Evening. Our couples love that we are a wedding venue that you can revisit time and time again in your wedded years ahead, at our pop up dining and tasting events.

Five of our Guest Rooms are located above the venue, including the beautiful Room 5 with waterside views and spa bath for two! A further six rooms and five self catering cottages are also available should more of your guests want to extend the celebrations, and join you for our Kentish breakfast the following morning.

You'll get the same personal wedding planning service as all-out occasions, with a Venue Host on the day from our experienced and friendly team. You'll enjoy access to our two beautiful readying-rooms on the morning of your wedding, plus wooden outdoor games, festoon and fairy lights and complimentary vintage décor pieces; all those special touches that together curate a celebration worthy of the best day of your lives.
