The Hop Wedding Barn is beautifully rustic with its beamed ceiling, Kent hops and twinkling fairy lights. French doors open onto a beautiful terrace and oak gazebo, with our wedding gardens and estuary views beyond, so you can move effortlessly from ‘I do’, to raising a glass and celebrating with your loved ones.

A beautiful ceremony space for 2-130 guests, with up to 70 guests for your wedding breakfast & 100 for your evening party. For larger parties you can combine this space with either the adjoining Event Suite, or the Spring Barn from April 2026.

We're excited to reveal this artist's impression of the new Spring Barn! This stunning new wedding barn is replacing the current Event Suite from April 2026. While it will be larger, it will retain a similar layout and shape, giving you a clear sense of the space during your visits.

Spring Barn will feature a breathtaking 'hammerbeam' oak frame with cathedral-like ceiling and large bi-folding doors offering panoramic estuary views and beautiful natural light. It has been meticulously designed with no vertical columns, an in-room bar, cosy lounge seating and a festoon-lit courtyard lounge to keep your wedding party happily together in a wonderful, celebratory ambience.

Spring Barn can hold ceremonies and wedding breakfasts for 130-260 guests, and up to 350 guests during your evening party. It is also available to smaller celebrations as a package extra.

Mark the biggest moment of your life overlooking of the waters of the Swale estuary, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes and - most importantly - your loved ones. Our elegant Oak Gazebo can host wedding ceremonies from April to October, seating 2-200 guests.

If you would prefer a barn wedding, the Oak Gazebo remains a beautiful photo opportunity and a wonderful mingling spot for your guests beside the terrace and Rose Garden.

Adjoining the Hop Barn, the Event Suite is the perfect backdrop for any style of wedding reception - from laid back elegance to rustic luxe.

Floor-to-ceiling bi-fold windows fill the space with natural light, letting in our water view panoramas and opening to the terrace and Rose Garden.

This is a room with romance at its heart, from its elegant uplighting and starlight ceiling, to its vibrant dance floor. There’s ample space for up to 180 wedding breakfast guests and up to 250 evening guests to share your celebrations, with washrooms and full use of the adjoining Hop Barn & bar. The Event Suite will be replaced by the Spring Barn from April 2026.

From April 2026 onwards, you and your guests can enjoy your own private 16th century pub for your drinks reception. With charming period features and Kent Hops, it's especially welcoming in the winter months with fires roaring and windows overlooking over the estuary.

Intimate and characterful wedding receptions for 2-20 guests can also be seated here.

There can be a no more beautiful spot for sunny wedding drinks receptions than our waterside terrace. Ample seating and shady umbrellas let guests take in the panoramic waterside views and catch our estuary breezes in comfort, while our festoon lights and vintage drinks carts serve up your your celebratory drinks in style.

At The Ferry House, wedding day memories are made over delicious dining. Whether you choose the classic three-course wedding breakfast or something more relaxed, our menus showcase the best of our homegrown, family-farmed and Kent produce.

You’ll choose your menu at your wedding taster night, where you can sample beautifully crafted dishes and enjoy the anticipation of what’s to come.

From April 2026, we’re introducing an elevated menu with even more options. From a refreshing sorbet course and Kentish wines for a little extra indulgence, to evening fajitas and stone-baked pizzas, we'll keep your guests fed and happy - and the celebrations going strong.

You and your wedding guests can end the day in style and comfort, with accommodation to sleep 75 in our 11 luxurious ensuite guest rooms, plus five self-catering cottages just a short walk away.

Our guest rooms are each individually styled and come with many thoughtful touches, including ultra comfy, handmade beds, Nespresso coffee machines and British-made toiletries, not to mention a delicious Kentish breakfast the next morning.

Our five Mocketts Farm Cottages are just minutes from The Ferry House and offer characterful, convenient and fun accommodation for your guests, with shared games room and BBQ area.

Sleeping 53 and with all the comfort and practicalities you’d expect of a home-from-home, your wedding can easily become a multi day celebration, with our two day weddings packages including either day before dining or grazing tables, or a leisurely brunch the next morning.

The Garden Lodge is an exciting new addition to our barn wedding venue! It is one of two exclusive rooms where you and your partner can get wedding-ready.

Set within our 1.5 acre Kitchen Garden, the location is the perfect combination of peace and privacy, keeping you out of sight of other guests, while being close enough to calm any wedding day arrival nerves.

The room enjoys a comfy seating area, hair washing chair, three illuminated hair and make up stations, a beautiful dressing area, a private terrace and more.

The Coach Lounge is the second of our wedding venue 'Readying Rooms' available to all of our couples.

Located away from the Garden Lodge, there’s no danger of spoiling that first aisle-sight with your other half!

Exclusively for our couples, you can also prep yourself for that wedding day glow with a special course of five Eve Taylor Prescriptive Facials, culminating in a sixth pampering Face & Body Ritual Treatment (with a glass of bubbles, of course). Our barn wedding venue enjoys its own landscaped wedding garden. Overlooking the estuary and wetlands, it provides a stunning backdrop to your celebrations.

With a romantic rose arch tunnel, festoon lighting and a planted stone bench curving gently around our fit pit, it's a tranquil spot to catch a moment as a couple, enjoy our fun vintage lawn games with your guests and capture beautiful photographs of your wedding day.

You'll find our Secret Orchard nestled between the wedding gardens and our Kitchen Garden. On your wedding day it is exclusively for you as a couple, allowing you to take a quiet moment together to enjoy the occasion and the stillness of our waterside hideaway.

In the orchard you'll find vintage furniture where you can enjoy some bubbles, while the natural, soft textures and earthy tones afford beautiful photographs.

Surrounded by the rolling fields of our family farmland and wild, waterside meadows, The Ferry House offers breathtaking backdrops for your wedding photos.
