A wonderful experience

We came here for a two night stay for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet location at the water’s edge with very comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was one of the best meals we have eaten in a long time - an imaginative menu and freshly prepared with local ingredients- and the staff were without exception friendly and professional.

A tranquil stay

My sister and I visited The Ferry House, with our dog, for a two night stay, what a beautifully peaceful time we had! Looking over the Swale Estuary, the general air is one of peace and tranquility, you are literally in the middle of nowhere. We also ate at The Ferry House, and I understand most of the food is sourced from the farm or locally. The menu is small but very tasty, inventive and beautifully presented, do also give the cocktails a try! We walked the c.7 mile round trip into Leysdown-on-Sea, a lovely gentle walk across the farm, passing Harty Church, which is a quaint old church and worth a look. it was quite a warm day so ensure you take water, there is nowhere to stop on the way. Finally I had a wonderful massage with Katy, who I would thoroughly recommend. Overall a wonderful couple of days and we hope to come back.

Relaxed and friendly

I was there overnight while walking with friends. It was a quiet mid week night with few other guests. No negatives. Lovely room in the old building, overlooking the water. Good, interesting food with locally grown ingredients and relaxed, friendly staff. I'm from the island but haven't lived there for many years. It made me feel good about being back.
