At The Ferry House we treat your data and privacy with the same high level of care and attention that we offer you in person when you visit us. This Privacy Notice is designed to let you know what data we’re collecting, why, who else might see it, and how we’re going to use it.

What Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information that is voluntarily supplied to us when you express an interest in, or confirm a booking or reservation at The Ferry House or Mocketts Farm Cottages. The information we collect depends upon the nature of your enquiry and what you supply, but may include your name, phone number, email address, postal address, date of birth and contact preferences.
Our table reservations, room and cottage bookings, spa bookings and gift voucher fulfilment systems are implemented through Alacer. You can find their Privacy Policy here – https://alacer.co.uk/privacy-policy.
Some wedding, corporate and event enquiry data is processed using Event Temple. You can find their Privacy Policy here – https://www.eventtemple.com/privacy.
We may collect data necessary to process a payment if you make a reservation with us, including debit/credit card details. Payment data is stored by Windcave and you can find their Privacy Policy here – https://www.windcave.com/legal. Some Event Ticket purchases allow payment by PayPal, who store that payment data. We also collect nonidentifiable data such as device, location, demographic and browsing behaviour via Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Facebook Pixel and Google Signals to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and promotional activities and serve non-personalised advertisements. You may have decided to sign up to The Ferry House mailing list – we hope so! If so, when you first sign up, we collect information such as your name, email address (obviously) and your birthday (we do like to send out a little treat after all). We also ask you what topics you’re interested in hearing about. If you haven’t engaged with our emails for a while, we’ll get in touch to ask if you want to unsubscribe. Our Mailing List is managed through Mail Chimp, and you can read their privacy policy here.
If you have come for a visit and used our free customer Wi-Fi service, this collects some personal data, including your device, browsing history while connected and data on Wi-Fi usage. You can find the BeamBox Privacy Statement here.
How We Use Your Data
We may use your personal information in a number of ways depending on the service we are providing to you.
- To deliver booked services, such as a table or room reservations
- To fulfil gift voucher or event ticket orders
- To respond to enquiries or support requests
- To send administrative information to you
- To send you marketing and promotional communications, if you have opted in to receive these. You can opt out of our marketing emails at any time via the Unsubscribe link on our emails.

- To measure the effectiveness of our marketing and promotional activities
- To send customer surveys as part of internal-use marketing research
In some circumstances we also use email to improve accuracy of Google Ads measurement. This data is hashed (meaning your email is not shared, only a hashed version) to keep it secure and helps improve accuracy of measurement. Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We never share your personal information with unauthorised parties, or with other companies to market to you. We do share personal information to approved third parties who perform services on our behalf, to complete that work agreement. These companies are under agreement to safeguard your data, process it only in accordance with what we have instructed them to do and retain it for the length of time we have agreed. They will not share your personal information.
How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Information?
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the service we collected it for, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. By law we have to keep basic information about customers (including contact details, financial and transaction Data) for six years after they stop being customers.

In some cases we may anonymise your data for statistical purposes, and may use this information indefinitely.
How Do We Keep Your Data Safe?
We take the protection of your data very seriously. We have a number of technical and organisational security methods in place, including IT security protocols, internal policies on data security and training for all staff on data protection.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
